i walked
miles
and miles away

it was always nice
to walk away
from it all

Came across this wonderful piece by Joyce Wieland while researching mystic circles.  She’s just so damn good.

you ache

you yearn

you push away

hands extended.

There’s a stillness in your blood, an uncertainty, a hesitation

you reach forward, grasping, running towards

chest burning, head spinning.

On the ground, bloody knees.

Silk draped over her eyes

hush hush, there there.
